Vizag, December 25, 2025: Narcotics Control Bureau officers, working with the Railway Protection Force, intercepted a group at Duvvada Railway Station on Tuesday night. Acting on reliable intelligence, they seized 4 kg of hashish oil, a concentrated cannabis extract often mixed with tobacco for use.
The arrested individuals include a supplier from Srikakulam district, two intended receivers from Thrissur in Kerala who travelled to Paderu to coordinate the pickup, and two carriers, one of whom wasa woman hired to move the contraband south.
All five had traveled by bus from Paderu to the station. Preliminary probes show the supplier and receivers faced prior cases under the NDPS Act. Investigations continue to uncover wider links in the network.
