Amaravati, December 25, 2025: Exports of handmade crochet lace products from Narsapuram crossed the ₹150 crore mark in the current fiscal year through December. This includes both direct shipments and indirect channels, with key markets in Europe, the USA, France, and the Middle East.

Nearly 15,000 artisans, 60% women, across 19 mandals in West Godavari and Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Konaseema districts drive this traditional craft, which earned a Geographical Indication tag earlier this year.

The milestone follows a tough recovery from Covid disruptions, boosted by the tag, quality edge over competitors, targeted exhibitions, and work at the International Lace Trade Centre.
