Amaravati, December 25, 2025: The state government issued orders on December 24 handing over key arterial roads within Guntur Municipal Corporation limits to the civic body.
The transfer includes portions of major district roads, state highways like the Madras-Calcutta Road, Guntur–Chirala Road, Guntur–Parchuru Road, Guntur–Amaravathi Road, and others connecting vital city stretches. The handover occurs in “as is where is” condition following requests from local officials and recommendations from the Engineer-in-Chief (R&B).
