Amaravati, December 25, 2025: The Andhra Pradesh government is set to introduce a single, comprehensive Government Order (GO) that rationalises cinema ticket prices across all films.

This move replaces the current practice of issuing separate GOs based on individual movie budgets, aiming to eliminate ongoing confusion for moviegoers and exhibitors.

Cinematography Minister Kandula Durgesh announced the plan after a key review meeting of the Film Ticket Price Rationalisation Committee. A dedicated panel is examining uniform pricing for multiplexes and single-screen theatres, norms for high-budget films, and incentives like mandatory local shooting to boost tourism.

Consultations with producers, distributors, and exhibitors are underway to ensure decisions support Telugu cinema's global rise while keeping tickets accessible.
