Amaravati, December 24, 2025: Roads and Buildings Minister B.C. Janardhan Reddy charged that the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) lost its sanctity during the YSRCP rule led by former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

He pointed to alleged adulterated ghee in the famous laddu prasadam, which sparked nationwide outrage, and severe neglect of pilgrim facilities that caused hardship for devotees.

Speaking to the media at the TDP central office in Mangalagiri, the minister said irregularities are now surfacing, though he avoided details on certain aspects as the matter remains sub judice.

He praised the coalition government under Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for immediate reforms, including rigorous testing of prasadam ingredients and donated items.

The administration has also prioritized darshan access, reserving 90% of slots for common devotees during key occasions like Vaikuntha Ekadasi.
