Sitharaman to visit adopted coastal village in west godavari

Nirmala Sitharaman will head to her adopted village Pedda Mynavani Lanka in West Godavari district on December 28 for a one-day review of key development works and new launches benefiting local fisherfolk.

Amaravati, December 24: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman plans a focused visit to Pedda Mynavani Lanka, her adopted village on the Narsapuram coast in West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh, this Sunday.

She will inspect the ongoing ₹13.50-crore sea protection wall project, designed to shield the fishing community from coastal erosion. Sitharaman will also inaugurate a drone and AI training program at the village digital bhavan to equip fisherfolk with modern tools, open a new temple in nearby Kavitam village, and hold direct talks with residents on infrastructure and daily needs.
