Amaravati, December 24, 2025: A senior delegation from the Polavaram Project Authority, led by CEO Yogesh Paithankar, reviewed ongoing construction at the multipurpose irrigation project on the Godavari River.

The team examined critical components, including the spillway, diaphragm wall, Gap-1 and Gap-2 sections, upstream and downstream cofferdams, and the associated hydroelectric power project executed by Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Limited.

Officials briefed the visitors that works align with schedules set by the Union Ministry of Jal Shakti, the authority, and the state government. Paithankar highlighted the central government's high priority for the project and directed all agencies to avoid delays and follow approved plans precisely.

Recent ministerial reviews indicate overall progress at around 88%, with specific elements like the diaphragm wall advancing strongly.
