Amaravati, December 24, 2025: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to introduce quantum technology concepts to school students in Classes 7, 8, and 9 through phased awareness programmes.

The initiative, discussed in a meeting with IIT Madras representatives at the State Secretariat in Vijayawada, includes finalising the curriculum by January 2026 and setting up computer labs in schools step by step, with central government coordination.

The move targets equal access for government and private school students, preparing them for quantum computing and AI. It ties into broader efforts like training over 50,000 technology students via the National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning and hosting a Student Partnership Summit by late January 2026 to spark innovation.
