Amaravati, December 24, 2025: The Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed rail project continues to gain momentum, with the Ahmedabad station nearing completion and covering 38,000 square metres above the existing Western Railway platforms.
The design draws inspiration from the city's kite-flying heritage and intricate Jaali lattice work, while integrating seamlessly with metro and railway links to facilitate smoother passenger flow. Nearby, the Sabarmati terminal takes inspiration from Mahatma Gandhi’s charkha, emphasising cultural ties and modern comfort features.
