Amaravati, December 23, 2025: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu reviewed the state's excise operations and stressed that liquor policy must serve public interest through responsible regulation.

He urged officials to treat alcohol as a controlled product, emphasising transparency, quality assurance, and healthy growth.

Key directives include introducing a unique Liquor Identification Number on every bottle for traceability, geo-tagging for supply monitoring, and strict action against illegal bar shops by studying Haryana's sub-lease model.
