Newsroom, December 23, 2025: A fresh study in The Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology reveals that people with prediabetes who return to normal blood glucose levels via lifestyle shifts gain long-term heart protection.

Data from over 2,400 participants tracked for up to 30 years across US and China cohorts show remission halves risks of cardiovascular death, heart attacks, heart failure, and early mortality.

Simple habits like healthy eating, regular walks, and weight management drive these gains. Researchers highlight a fasting glucose below 97 mg/dL as a key marker for sustained benefits.
