Newsroom, December 23, 2025: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation officials handed over the finalized ward delimitation report to state authorities. The plan expands from 150 to 300 wards following the recent merger of 27 surrounding municipalities into GHMC limits.
A technical committee examined 5,945 suggestions from residents, political parties, and a special council meeting. Adjustments restored historic names like Bagh Amberpet and Vanasthalipuram while tweaking natural boundaries. The preliminary draft appeared on December 9.
