Amaravati, December 23, 2025: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Speaker K Raghu Rama Krishna Raju has urged the state police chief to dismiss suspended IPS officer PV Sunil Kumar. Raju claims Sunil Kumar broke service rules by posting on social media about his alleged role in a bank fraud probe.

Sunil Kumar, already suspended earlier this year, had publicly pushed for Raju's removal as deputy speaker. He cited a CBI FIR and court developments that he said hurt the state's image. Raju says these posts prejudge an ongoing case and undermine a constitutional position.

The dispute ties back to old political rivalries, with Dalit groups backing the officer. Authorities may face broader tensions if action follows.
