Newsroom, December 23, 2025: Delhi police data show minors played roles in serious offences from January to August 2025. Cases include 101 murders, 92 rapes, 157 robberies, and 161 attempted murders. Many come from low-income families in slums and resettlement areas.

Long work hours for parents in informal jobs leave little time for guidance. Children often drop out of under-resourced schools early. Without safe spaces or mentors, some turn to gangs for belonging and quick gains. Drugs and social media also pull vulnerable youth deeper into trouble.
