Amaravati, December 23, 2025: Roads and Buildings Minister B.C. Janardhan Reddy announced an ambitious plan to make Andhra Pradesh pothole-free by the end of January. The state has sanctioned ₹3,000 crore for repairing and developing 10,294 km of roads, including state highways and major district routes.

Heavy rains and cyclones caused widespread damage this year, prompting quick fund releases. Works are underway on 85 key roads linking mandal and district headquarters. Future plans include public-private partnerships to handle growing traffic.
