Amaravati, December 10, 2025: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu directed officials to fast-track ₹40,000 crore proposals under the Purvodaya Scheme. The plan splits evenly: ₹20,000 crore for irrigation to finish 23 major projects and 1,021 tanks in Prakasam and Rayalaseema, plus the Polavaram-Nallamala linkage for 7 lakh new acres and water for 60 lakh people.

Another ₹20,000 crore targets rural roads and horticulture expansion to 20 lakh acres via 82 clusters, including oil palm in North Andhra. Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav and Water Resources Minister Nimmala Ramanaidu joined the review, stressing strategic fund use for quick execution.
