Amaravati, December 09, 2025: Former Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu opened a two-day national workshop on uniform scientific terminology for Indian languages at Adikavi Nannaya University in Rajamahendravaram.

He urged experts to invent Telugu equivalents for English jargon, driven by shifts in lifestyle and tech. Naidu stressed mother tongue mastery as a gateway to other languages, spotlighting leaders like President Droupadi Murmu and PM Narendra Modi who thrive in native speech.

The event, backed by the Bharatiya Bhasha Samithi, drew scholars, students, and writers. Vice-Chancellor Prof. S. Prasanna Sree highlighted evolving pronunciations, while Deputy CM K. Pawan Kalyan earned nods for reprinting the historic Suryarayandra dictionary. Two books on drug addiction and farming tales also launched.
