Amaravati, December 03, 2025: Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan issued a clarion call for Andhra Pradesh to champion grassroots innovations as the bedrock of economic self-reliance, directing officials to grant swift patent rights and foster an ecosystem where village-level ideas flourish into global contributions.

During a Tuesday review with the Science and Technology Department in Vijayawada, Kalyan emphasised linking schoolchildren's ingenuity, university research, and rural problem-solvers with industrialists, IT startups, NRIs, and experts.

"Knowledge-driven economies thrive on innovation," he stated, envisioning a new cadre of village innovators who turn hardships into solutions, much like Rajahmundry Science Centre students designing tools to ease their parents' labour or a Nallamala tribal youth flagging uranium mining dangers.

The meeting, which assessed the past year's initiatives, including programs at the Swami Jnananda Regional Science Centre, culminated in Kalyan's blueprint for a comprehensive action plan to align with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Made in India, Make in India' vision. He advocated prioritising these creators in MSME parks, a proposal he plans to champion with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, and warned against hollow awards that end in photo-ops.

Instead, protections must follow recognition, transforming fleeting praise into sustained growth. Kalyan's vision extends to preparing Andhra for a 2047 economic leap, where local creativity reduces import dependence and powers the state's $2.4 trillion ambition.
