Amaravati, December 02, 2025: Andhra Pradesh's net GST collections have risen 5.8% year-on-year through November 2025, buoyed by robust economic momentum and rigorous taxpayer compliance, even as GST 2.0's rate reductions on automobiles, cement, and consumer goods tempered monthly figures.
Chief Commissioner of State Tax Babu A attributed the growth to heightened business activity and enforcement drives, with total revenue hitting 74% of the annual target despite a 4.6% dip in November's Rs 2,697 crore haul from Rs 2,827 crore last year. SGST fell 7.35% to Rs 1,109 crore, while IGST settlement slipped 2.57% to Rs 1,588 crore, cushioned by a 46% surge in profession tax to Rs 43 crore.
The reforms, effective September 22, slashed rates on dairy and electronics, leading to Rs 114 crore more input tax credit claims by manufacturers, but volume boosts from affordability kept overall revenue steady. Petroleum dipped 1.06% to Rs 1,307 crore, and VAT on liquor dropped 4.82% to Rs 70 crore, partly due to Cyclone Montha's trade disruptions.
