Amaravati, December 01, 2025: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu exhorted TDP leaders and booth-level workers to actively promote the coalition government's welfare initiatives during a teleconference with ministers, MLAs, MPs, and cadre, emphasising that public awareness of benefits would shield them from opposition influence.
"When people understand the benefits, they will not be swayed by opposition parties," Naidu said, highlighting the Rs 50,763 crore spent on pensions the nation's largest Direct Benefit Transfer as a lifeline for the vulnerable. He detailed monthly distributions on the 1st, from Rs 4,000 to Rs 15,000 based on categories, withthe elderly receiving Rs 48,000 annually, dialysis patients Rs 1.20 lakh, and bedridden individuals Rs 1.80 lakh, extended to all eligible regardless of party lines.
Naidu, who has personally overseen 17 months of pension disbursements for transparency, announced a Family Benefit Management System to cover joint families and vowed 5 lakh houses for the poor by Ugadi.
He criticised past regimes for halting schemes like Neeru-Chettu and NREGS bills out of vendetta, diverting housing funds, and excluding genuine beneficiaries. The meeting mobilised TDP's network of 12 lakh family empowerment coordinators, 46,000 booth committees, and 8,000 units for December events: Rythu Seva Kendra workshops on December 3 for farmer awareness and a mega Parent-Teacher Meeting on December 5 with active participation.
