Amaravati, December 01, 2025: Andhra Pradesh Backwards Classes Welfare Minister S Savitha hailed the Telugu Desam Party's enduring support for the Kuruba community, stating that true justice and advancement have come only under TDP rule, with the party providing unwavering political, social, and economic backing since its inception.
Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of the new Guntur District Kuruba Social Committee in Rajahmundry, Savitha recalled how TDP founder N.T. Rama Rao empowered her father, former minister S. Ramachandra Reddy, who held 14 portfolios with the strong guidance of NTR and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
"NTR gave political recognition to Kurubas in the earliest days of the party," she said, emphasising that only TDP has delivered comprehensive welfare to all Backward Classes, including the Kurubas.
