Amaravati, November 27, 2025: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu issued a stark ultimatum to Roads and Buildings officials: transform the state's AP Link roads into a seamless network free of potholes and cracks within one year, or face accountability.

During a review meeting with Minister Gummidi Sandhya Rani and senior engineers, Naidu lambasted the current condition as "unacceptable," directing immediate surveys, tender processes, and Rs 500 crore allocations to repair 5,000 km of critical links connecting districts and mandals.

"These roads are the state's lifeline every delay costs lives and livelihoods," he stressed, mandating monthly progress reports and drone monitoring for transparency.

The push targets the 12,000 km AP Link network, vital for rural connectivity but plagued by monsoons and neglect.
