Newsroom, November 25, 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi ascended the steps of the newly consecrated Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on Tuesday, hoisting the sacred saffron flag in a solemn ceremony that blended ancient Vedic rituals with modern reverence, drawing thousands of devotees chanting "Jai Shri Ram" under a clear winter sky.

The dhvaja arohan, timed for Kartik month, symbolised divine protection for the temple complex, with Modi offering prayers amid conch shells and floral tributes, his white kurta a stark contrast to the golden spires rising against the Sarayu River. The event, live-streamed to millions, underscored the site's transformation from a contested flashpoint to a beacon of national unity since the 2024 consecration.

The ritual, guided by temple priests and accompanied by Vedic chants, saw Modi unveil the 108-foot flagpole adorned with intricate carvings of Ramayana scenes, a nod to the epic's enduring legacy. Local seers hailed it as a fulfillment of prophecies, while security remained tight with 5,000 personnel ensuring smooth crowds. This visit, Modi's first since the pran pratishtha, reaffirms his personal stake in the project, blending faith with political symbolism.
