Amaravati, November 25, 2025: Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan's district tour hit a snag in Rajahmundry on Monday when a verbal spat between TDP cadres nearly boiled over into physical confrontation at the airport premises.
The friction arose as Rajanagar in-charge Boddu Venkataramana and his supporters were barred from entering, while CM programme committee coordinator Pendurthi Venkatesh was allowed inside to greet Kalyan.
Venkataramana, irked by the disparity, demanded to know if Venkatesh had special clearance, sparking heated exchanges that drew a crowd and risked escalation until police intervened to de-escalate.
The incident highlights simmering tensions within TDP ranks over access and influence during high-profile visits, with no formal statements from party leaders or resolutions reported. Kalyan, undeterred, continued his schedule, focusing on public outreach.
