Amaravati, November 24, 2025: The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) has launched a public consultation drive to gather suggestions on the Amaravati master plan, marking a key step in reviving the greenfield capital project stalled since 2019.
Residents, stakeholders, and experts are invited to submit ideas on zoning, infrastructure, and sustainability through an online portal and town halls starting in December, to refine the 33,000-acre layout that encompasses residential, commercial, and green spaces for 3.5 million people.
CRDA Commissioner J. Syamala Devi said the process ensures inclusive growth, addressing past grievances like farmer compensation while integrating smart city features such as AI traffic management and eco-parks. The initiative, backed by a Rs 500 crore allocation, follows Supreme Court directives for balanced development.
