Newsroom, November 23, 2025: A comprehensive laboratory analysis has exonerated the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams from allegations of using adulterated ghee in its sacred laddus, with tests on 1,000 samples from 2021 to 2024 showing no traces of contaminants in the 20 crore portions distributed annually to pilgrims.

The findings, detailed in the Special Investigation Team's interim report, counter the controversy sparked by earlier reports of animal fat in supplies, affirming that the temple's offerings remained untainted despite procurement lapses during the previous administration.

The SIT, formed after Supreme Court directives, scrutinised samples from Bhole Baba Dairy and other vendors, confirming compliance with purity standards. TTD Executive Officer A.K. Singhal stated the results vindicate the institution's sanctity, urging devotees to dismiss misinformation. The report highlights improved vendor audits post-2024 to prevent future risks.
