Newsroom, November 23, 2025: The National Investigation Agency's probe into the November 10 Red Fort Metro Station car blast that killed 13 has revealed that two doctors in the Jaish-e-Mohammed module acquired a large freezer to stash explosives and an AK-47 rifle for the planned multi-city attacks.
The freezer, bought under pretences, was used to store ammonium nitrate and RDX in a Faridabad hideout, while the weapon was procured through a hawala network tied to the group's financial disputes over unpaid medical equipment deals.
Dr. Muzammil Ahmad Ganaie and Dr. Shahin Shaheed, arrested earlier, confessed to the purchases during interrogations, with digital receipts linking them to the transactions.
The rifle was meant for a follow-up shooting after the initial IED detonation, part of the "D-6 Mission" to avenge the Babri demolition. Raids in Nuh and Uttar Pradesh yielded more components.
