Amaravati, November 23, 2025: A depression is expected to develop over the southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining south Andaman Sea around November 24, potentially bringing light to moderate rainfall to coastal Andhra Pradesh, but the India Meteorological Department has issued no warnings for heavy downpours or gale-force winds in the state.

The system, forming from a cyclonic circulation over the region, is projected to track west-northwestward, influencing weather with isolated showers in south coastal districts like Nellore and Prakasam, while north coastal areas remain largely dry.

Officials at the state disaster management authority advise monitoring updates, with no evacuation orders or school closures anticipated. The depression, less intense than recent cyclones, poses minimal risk to agriculture or infrastructure.
