Amaravati, November 23, 2025: Andhra Pradesh Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister Ponguru Narayana announced the formation of a high-level committee to tackle the long-standing concerns of Amaravati land pooling farmers, aiming to resolve all issues within six months.

The panel, comprising officials from the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority and revenue departments, will prioritise annuity disbursements, plot allotments, and infrastructure in returnable layouts, addressing delays that have lingered since the 2015 scheme.

Narayana, speaking at a review meeting, emphasized the government's commitment to honoring agreements with the 24,790 farmers who contributed 33,000 acres for the capital. "We will clear all pending matters, ensuring justice for those who trusted the vision," he stated, directing immediate audits of claims. The move comes amid renewed focus on Amaravati's revival.
