Newsroom, November 22, 2025: PVR Inox is set to add 100 screens across tier-3 cities in India by the end of 2026, focusing on premium experiences like IMAX and 4DX to capture rising entertainment spending in non-metro areas.
The expansion, part of an Rs 800 crore investment, will prioritise markets with populations under 5 lakh, where single-screen theatres still dominate but multiplex appetite grows with disposable incomes.
Company executives highlighted tier-3's untapped potential, with average ticket prices 30% lower than metros yet occupancy climbing 15% yearly. The move follows a post-pandemic recovery, with PVR adding 150 screens last year.
