Districts of West Bengal including Kolkata felt a jolt of an earthquake around 10:10 am today. The epicentre has been reported near Dhaka of Bangladesh in a depth of 10 km. The magnitude of the earthquake was 5.7 on richter scale.
Our district correspondents have reported that people have felt a tremor. No report of casualties from West Bengal.
