Amaravati, November 21, 2025: The National Highways Authority of India is exploring a high-speed corridor connecting Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and key Andhra cities like Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam, potentially reducing the Hyderabad-Bengaluru trip from 8-10 hours to under 3 hours via dedicated expressways.
The 600 km project, discussed in recent NHAI reviews, aims to boost trade and tourism across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka, with speeds up to 120 kmph and minimal stops.
Officials highlighted the corridor's role in easing congestion on existing NH44 and NH16, while integrating with Andhra's coastal economic zones.
