Newsroom, November 21, 2025: Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla, set for the Axiom-4 mission to the ISS, sparked a viral moment with his light-hearted take on Bengaluru's infamous traffic: "Reaching Bengaluru from space is easier."

The remark, made during a pre-mission interaction, captured the frustration of millions navigating the tech hub's gridlock, amplified by endless highway expansions and metro delays that turn short trips into hours-long ordeals.

Shukla, one of four Gaganyaan pilots, drew from his training experience, joking about orbital re-entry being smoother than landing at Kempegowda Airport during peak hours. The clip exploded on social media, with commuters sharing memes of spaceships dodging potholes.
