Newsroom, November 20, 2025: Nitish Kumar took oath as Bihar's chief minister for a historic 10th time at Raj Bhavan in Patna, capping the NDA's sweeping 202-seat win in the assembly polls.

Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar administered the oath, with BJP's Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha sworn in as deputy chief ministers, signalling the alliance's balanced power-sharing.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and top NDA leaders attended, projecting unity after the coalition's strongest mandate yet.

The ceremony, attended by allies like Chirag Paswan and Jitan Ram Manjhi, followed NDA's dominance over the Mahagathbandhan's 41 seats. Kumar, 74, thanked voters for rejecting "opposition lies" and pledged faster development.
