Newsroom, November 20, 2025: Bajaj Auto has acquired a majority stake in KTM, the Austrian motorcycle manufacturer, boosting its holding to 98% through a deal that cements the Pune-based company's grip on the premium two-wheeler segment.

The move follows years of partnership that began with a 48% stake in 2007, evolving into a key alliance for technology sharing and global distribution, with KTM's Duke and RC lines now assembled in India for cost advantages.

The acquisition, valued at an undisclosed sum, positions Bajaj to steer KTM's electric and high-performance roadmap while leveraging its Chakan plant for exports.
