Amaravati, November 19, 2025: Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar announced that paddy procurement has picked up pace across Andhra Pradesh, with over 1.5 lakh tonnes purchased from farmers in the first phase of the rabi season.
Around 1,200 procurement centers are active, ensuring minimum support price payments within 48 hours via direct bank transfers. The minister inspected operations in Krishna district, stressing zero tolerance for delays or middlemen interference.
Manohar noted the government's target to procure 51 lakh tonnes this Kharif, with enhanced storage and transport to avoid past bottlenecks.
