Amaravati, November 19, 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi paused his packed Andhra Pradesh schedule to offer prayers at the Mahasamadhi of Sri Sathya Sai Baba in Prasanthi Nilayam, Puttaparthi, a spiritual landmark drawing millions annually.

The visit, part of a two-day trip launching projects worth Rs 13,430 crore, saw Modi spend quiet moments at the shrine, reflecting the late saint's message of service and universal love that shaped institutions like super-speciality hospitals and free education initiatives across the region.

Modi, dressed in white, bowed before the ornate marble structure housing Sai Baba's mortal remains since 2011, with visuals showing him in contemplation amid chanting devotees. The gesture underscores his personal affinity for spiritual leaders, echoing past stops at Shirdi and Tirupati.
