Newsroom, November 19, 2025: Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy appeared before a special CBI court in Nampally, Hyderabad, on Tuesday in connection with the long-running illegal assets case, marking another chapter in the investigation that began over a decade ago.
The court, hearing arguments on the disproportionate assets allegations, posted the matter to December 15 for further proceedings after both sides submitted documents.
Jagan, accompanied by party leaders, arrived amid tight security and left after a brief session, with no immediate orders on bail or charges. The case, involving alleged quid pro quo deals during his father's tenure as CM, has seen multiple twists, including Supreme Court directives for a speedy trial. YSRCP supporters gathered outside, terming it a "political vendetta" by the ruling NDA.
