Amaravati, November 19, 2025: The Special Investigation Team probing the liquor policy irregularities in Andhra Pradesh has seized properties linked to key accused, including land and buildings valued at crores, as part of a widening crackdown on alleged corruption during the YSRCP tenure.
The attachments target individuals accused of manipulating brand allocations and permit distributions for personal profit, with the SIT acting on court orders after gathering evidence from raids and witness statements.
Officials said the moves aim to recover public losses estimated in hundreds of crores from the controversial 2019-2024 policy that favoured select distilleries. The probe, ordered by the High Court, continues with more summons expected.
