Amaravati, November 18, 2025: Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav has instructed district medical and health officers to submit daily reports on the number of patients treated by government doctors in outpatient departments across the state.

The directive, issued during a review meeting, seeks to enforce accountability and improve healthcare access, with Yadav stressing that doctors must see a minimum number of cases each day. Officials are tasked with compiling data from primary health centres to super-speciality hospitals, flagging underperformance for corrective action.

The move comes amid complaints of absenteeism and low patient turnout in rural facilities. Yadav also reviewed ambulance services and medicine stocks, vowing zero tolerance for lapses.
