Amaravati, November 17, 2025: The straightforward bond between Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has emerged as a defining feature in regional politics, with their recent warm exchanges at the Ramoji Rao Excellence Awards in Hyderabad fueling speculation and discomfort among rivals.
Reddy, who parted ways with TDP in 2017 without a single harsh word against Naidu, visited him in Amaravati to personally explain his exit and has since credited the veteran for shaping his political instincts. This transparency, evident in their light-hearted summit banter, contrasts sharply with the covert pacts that once defined Telugu state dynamics, like the brief Jagan-KCR alliance that backfired.
The duo's comfort level allows Reddy to court TDP voters directly, a move that helped Congress sweep Telangana in 2023 despite historical grudges. Naidu's TDP, once a Telangana bogeyman blamed for the bifurcation's pains, now finds Reddy's outreach disarming old wounds. BRS and YSRCP leaders, sensing the threat, have reacted with unease, viewing the rapport as a strategic edge in cross-border voter plays.
