Newsroom, November 17, 2025: L'Oréal, the Paris-based cosmetics leader behind brands like Garnier and Maybelline, has established a Global Capability Centre in Hyderabad to fuel its worldwide operations with cutting-edge technology and local expertise, separate from its research units in Mumbai and Bengaluru.
The facility bolsters the city's role as a services powerhouse, home to nearly 70 such centres from giants like Netflix and Eli Lilly, and supports Telangana's push to hit 120 by 2026, unlocking around 1.2 lakh roles.
"This is a major boost to Hyderabad's tech and services scene," noted a company spokesperson, crediting the area's skilled engineers, affordability, and rapid scaling for the choice. The move signals L'Oréal's bet on India amid its 5% FY25 growth slowdown, eyeing the world's fastest-expanding beauty market.
