Newsroom, November 15, 2025: Satish Kumar, a retired assistant vigilance and security officer with Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, was discovered deceased on a railway track near Komali village outside Tadipatri in Anantapur district on Friday, prompting police to investigate whether it was suicide or something more sinister.
Kumar, who had filed a complaint alleging misappropriation of funds from Parakamani collections by a temple official, had been questioned by the Crime Investigation Department on November 6 and received fresh summons for further details. Forensic experts are examining the site and his body, sent for postmortem, while the railway and local police coordinate with the CID to trace his movements.
The case, centered on irregularities in handling donations at the sacred site, has drawn scrutiny amid ongoing probes into financial lapses. Kumar's role as a complainant raised questions about potential threats, though no foul play has been confirmed.
