The Bollywood-Hollywood star, absent from Indian sets since The Sky is Pink in 2019 and busy with The Matrix Resurrections, Citadel, and Love Again, called it a potential "new chapter" in an X chat: "Hopefully a new era and my return to Indian films... But I know it will be incredible." Rajamouli shared his excitement: "Can't wait for the world to witness your myriad shades of Mandakini."
The untitled project, featuring Prithviraj Sukumaran as the menacing Kumbha (introduced November 7), promises a worldwide adventure with Mahesh Babu in the lead. A title reveal and first look event is slated for November 15 at Hyderabad's Ramoji Film City, streamed live on JioHotstar.
