Newsroom, November 13, 2025: The National Investigation Agency has exposed a Jaish-e-Mohammed cell, headed by a doctor, behind the November 10 Hyundai i20 explosion near Delhi's Red Fort Metro Station that killed 13 people, with DNA evidence verifying Umar Un Nabi as the suicide bomber.
The group, activated in Turkiye in 2022 under handler Ukasa, acquired three vehicles: an i20 for the blast, a red Ford Ecosport recovered in Faridabad, and a Brezza still being tracked for coordinated vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices using ammonium nitrate and RDX, followed by rifle assaults.
Planned sites included Ayodhya's Ram temple flag-hoisting on November 25, India Gate, shopping malls, and railway stations in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Chennai.
Home Minister Amit Shah, briefing Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Bhutan and President Droupadi Murmu, vowed a relentless pursuit of all involved. The module's leader, Umar, evaded a recent Faridabad raid, with family DNA tests underway.
Eight operatives, including the doctors in a financial dispute, face charges; raids in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar yielded five arrests for online incitement.
