Newsroom, November 10, 2025: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy expressed strong self-assurance about his party's prospects in the Jubilee Hills assembly by-election, labelling the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) challenge as a sign of "political desperation" and forecasting a decisive victory for Congress.
Speaking at a party gathering, Reddy highlighted the BRS's internal fractures and voter disenchantment, pointing to the by-election as a referendum on his government's performance in urban development and welfare delivery.
"They are scrambling for relevance, but the people have already chosen progress," he remarked, underscoring the contest's role in affirming Congress's dominance post-2023 assembly polls.
The Jubilee Hills seat, vacated after the sitting MLA's death, has drawn high-profile attention, with BRS fielding a veteran to reclaim urban ground, while Congress banks on its youth appeal and infrastructure initiatives.
A win here would reinforce Revanth's leadership ahead of the 2028 state elections, potentially eroding BRS's residual strength in Hyderabad.
