Newsroom, November 10, 2025: Kerala Local Body Elections 2025 will be held in two phases on 9 & 11 December 2025. Counting will be held on 13 Dec 2025.
The State Election Commissioner Shajahan today announced the dates of the Local body polls 2025 in a press conference held in Thiruvananthapuram.
With the announcement of the poll schedule, the model code of conduct has come into force across the state. Elections are to be held in 1199 of the total 1200 local bodies in Kerala.
Mattannur municipality in Kannur District will not go to polls this time as the elections are due only in Sept 2027.
Shri Shajahan said that the code would be strictly enforced across the State till the completion of the election process in the third week of December.
