Amaravati, November 09, 2025: Andhra Pradesh's Alluri Sitharama Raju (ASR) district unveiled a bold plan to develop 40,000 home-stays in the Araku Valley's tribal belt, spanning 11 mandals under the Paderu Integrated Tribal Development Agency, to generate sustainable livelihoods for 4 million locals while showcasing authentic eco-tourism.
The scheme, part of a fresh policy, provides subsidies, training, and infrastructure to classify stays as MSMEs, with investments recoverable in two seasons through community-run lodgings offering home-cooked meals and village immersions.
The effort aims to draw domestic and international travelers to the region's biodiversity and traditions, boosting gross value addition and cross-cultural exchanges.
