Amaravati, June 21, 2025: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, speaking at the Yogandhra 2025 event in Visakhapatnam, underscored the state’s commitment to making yoga a way of life. Addressing thousands along RK Beach, Naidu announced the launch of a Yoga League in September to integrate yoga into daily routines. He urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to advocate for yoga’s inclusion in the Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, and Olympics, stating, “Only Modi ji can make this history.” Naidu celebrated the participation of 2.39 crore people in Yogandhra, surpassing the 2-crore target, and highlighted a Guinness World Record set by 22,122 tribal students performing Surya Namaskars. He announced plans to include yoga in school curricula from Class 9 and establish a dedicated yoga university, calling Visakhapatnam a “meeting point of nature and progress.”
