Director Vetrimaaran's upcoming venture with actor Simbu, expanding the Vada Chennai saga into a shared universe, will see its Telugu version titled Samrajyam promoted by Jr NTR on October 17. The Tamil original, Arasan, gets a theatre rollout in Tamil Nadu on October 16, tied to Diwali screenings, with Anirudh Ravichander scoring the soundtrack in his debut pairing with both talents.

This move has fueled buzz about NTR potentially joining Vetrimaaran's fold or teaming with Simbu in Devara Part 2, where the latter is in talks for a pivotal role.
